I really don't know why people choose to live here. I've been here twice and all it seems to do is pour with rain and be bloody freezing. At least it's preparing me for coming home on thursday!
Finally it's time to relax! After a couple of weeks of travelling around we're staying in Port Douglas for 5 days. Today we sunbathed and swam in the sea. It's a hard life.
We've been very busy visiting the Top End of Australia... swimming with crocodiles and getting bitten by mosquitoes and fish. It's certainly been hotter than the south! Now we're heading to the east coast to relax for a few days.
A real, live Australian bushfire on the edge of Katherine in the Northern Territory. The photo's taken from the safety of our minibus.
Ok, so the tour's not as posh as last time but that's still sparkly wine I'm drinking out of the plastic mug. Sunrise and sunset were both better than my previous trip so it's been worth coming back.
That's more like it! Apparently it's still only 10 degrees at night though so camping may be a little chilly.
We only saw half a dozen of them as it was too chilly to keep getting out of the car. Now we're up in the mountains... where it's even colder!
It's a wild koala. We barely got away with our lives.
It's a road which goes along the ocean. It's great!
2 down, 58 to go. It's not even 11am yet.
Neil, Gilly and Jen trying to look like it's not freezing cold.
Lesley hard at work.
I don't feel self conscious at all!
That's me and Brian Lara (who's a VERY famous cricketer)
