Girly Weekend
On friday night I went over to Dawn's in Glasgow so we could have a proper gossip over a couple of bottles of sauvignon blanc and yummy nasi goreng. There was also some dancemat action - oh dear! Feeling a little hungover on saturday, Dawn decided the best way to get over that was to help her mow the lawn. I'm not so sure. After lunch we visited Mugdock Country Park with it's ruined castle and then went back to Dawn's for a wee disco nap. Slightly refreshed we then drove over to Edinburgh and got glammed up for a night out on the town.
I wasn't feeling in the mood for much boozing, but we had a nice meal and then met up with Gilly and a load of girls from MWH who were out on a hen night. On sunday Dawn and I had lovely (but still painful!) massages before going our separate ways. No time to relax though, a quick trip to the shops and then Monica came over for more gossiping and wine. I'm bloody knackered!!

St Andrews
I decided to stop using crap weather and no one to go with as excuses to not go out and do stuff and today I headed up north. I did a 6 mile walk along the coast at a place called Elie. The weather was rather variable - warm out of the wind but very chilly in it. The walk actually involves going around the base of some cliffs which are (and I quote!) "only passable by periously hanging out over the raging sea holding on to chains secured to the rock face". I decided that wouldn't be the wisest route to take on my own so I went up over the cliffs instead.
After my walk I took the coastal road north and into St Andrews. It's a lovely place with lots of history but I was a bit too tired and cold so I'm going to have to go back again. I'm thinking of coinciding it with a trip to Perth to visit a wine merchants that sells Moana Park wine - a gorgeous vineyard we visited in NZ.
