St Andrews

I decided to stop using crap weather and no one to go with as excuses to not go out and do stuff and today I headed up north. I did a 6 mile walk along the coast at a place called Elie. The weather was rather variable - warm out of the wind but very chilly in it. The walk actually involves going around the base of some cliffs which are (and I quote!) "only passable by periously hanging out over the raging sea holding on to chains secured to the rock face". I decided that wouldn't be the wisest route to take on my own so I went up over the cliffs instead.

After my walk I took the coastal road north and into St Andrews. It's a lovely place with lots of history but I was a bit too tired and cold so I'm going to have to go back again. I'm thinking of coinciding it with a trip to Perth to visit a wine merchants that sells Moana Park wine - a gorgeous vineyard we visited in NZ.
